Need 90,000 to Make Half-a-Million!

410,679 YTD (158,217 indexed & 252,462 arbitrated)
   24,862 (9,942 indexed & 14,920 arbitrated)
Thanks
for all the joyful indexing you're doing!
Let's reach our half-a-million goal.

Many indexers have been working hard to progress towards half-a-million.  We need about 40,000 more this month to be on track to reach half-a-million by the end of the year.

Let's each joyfully index a little more to reach this goal.

Riverton FamilySearch Center

407,280 YTD indexed (157,225 indexed -- 250,055 arbitrated)
21,463 Nov 9 (8,950 indexed -- 12,513 arbitrated)

Riverton FS Center
is grand new progress in family history.
Make your way down the East hallway to the center which is a massive computer room.  Missionaries anxiously wait to help you do your research on-line including using Ancestry.com and other subscription sites free.  Microfilm and viewers are available.   Classes on New FamilySearch, and other research FH topics are regularly taught.  Each second Saturday is a Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshop at 11 a.m.   Each third Sat. morning from 9-12 is a family history seminar.  (None in Dec.)  November's is especially insightful:

November 20 -- 9:00 a.m. - Keynote Address -

"What's New at FamilySearch" - David Rencher

The  FS Center is a popular place among youth groups although any RS, HP group, etc are certainly welcome.  Groups are shown a presentation, then taken to the back computers to do indexing.
(Everyone must have an LDS account beforehand.)
It's a fun, productive way to spend an evening!
Reservations are required link

During M-F lunchtime, you're welcome to join employees in purchasing an inexpensive lunch in the cafeteria (soup, salad & sandwich bar, grill, entrees)  or take your own.  There's a microwave and vending machines.

Take a trip to the
Riverton FamilySearch Center.
You'll enjoy yourself!

Note:  The LDS church purchased the Intel building barely northeast of the 13400 S Bangerter intersection.  Most of the four-story building has been taken over by church techies.  While visiting there the "Joseph Smith Papers" techs told us of the website just being released that will have every page on the internet.  Many exciting things are happening in the tech world . . .

Indexing Party

395,194 YTD (152,552 indexed & 242,642)
9,377 Nov 4 (4,277 indexed & 5,100)

The 4th Ward had a fun indexing get-together.  Some people signed up for the first time and others worked on indexing.  Rachael's 10 year-old-son was the youngest indexer, although Bishop Ellis's children will soon be tapping the keys
since they're learning sitting right next to daddy.

Good munchies were enjoyed.
Thank you, Rachael & 4th Ward.  Keep up
the great work of spreading
the joy of indexing!
